Readiris - наверное самая лучшая программа для распознавания текста (OSR) для Mac, всего в несколько простых шагов позволят преобразовать бумажные документы в электронные. Теперь поддерживает 64-битный режим в MacOS 10.6 (Snow Leopard).

Установка:

• Install and upgrade
• Use Finder to show info of the Readiris Pro 12 in Applications folder in order to give everyone read and write access.
• Replace the Readris file in Readiris.app/Contents/MacOS/

Snow Leopard note:

To see your scanner into Readiris Preferences, you have to :

• be sure to have installed the latest driver compatible for OS X 10.6
• Is the driver correctly installed in the appropriate directory HD => Library => Image capture => Twain data source

By default on Snow Leopard, the Readiris application is launched in 64-bit mode. If your driver is not 64-bit compatible, you won’t see it.
So you have to open the Readiris application in 32-bit mode. To do that, go to :

• Applications folder > Readiris Pro 12 > get info on Readiris.app > check the box “open in 32-   bit mode “
• Launch Readiris > select your scanner
